Bowen Basin Projects

Baralaba Coal Company’s main interests in the Bowen Basin extend from the Dingo Project in the north to the Baralaba South Project in the south, along approximately 92 km of strike length. The Bowen Basin is located approximately 180 km west of Gladstone, in Central Queensland. The Permian-age Rangal Coal Measures sub-crop throughout the project package, offering 650 km2 of contiguous target areas.

The Baralaba South Project is approximately 8km south of the Baralaba township and 115km west of Rockhampton, in the lower Bowen Basin region of Central Queensland.  A voluntary Environmental Impact Statement process is underway for the Baralaba South Project to assess the viability of a new open-cut coal mine.

Baralaba Coal Company also possesses an extensive footprint of greenfield exploration tenure throughout the Bowen Basin, particularly in the Rolleston area.
