Corporate Structure

and how we do things

Baralaba Coal Company is majority owned by the AMCI Group. AMCI has extensive experience owning and operating coal assets globally for more than 20 years. In operation for more than three decades, AMCI is a privately owned group that owns and operates industrial raw materials businesses.

AMCI is focused on developing and building leading industrial businesses through investment and operational expertise.

AMCI’s acquisition of Baralaba Coal in late 2021 was based on a long term positive view of steel making commodities, particularly the ultra low volatile pulverized coal injection product mined at Baralaba.

Under AMCI ownership, BCC is focussed on responsibly developing the Baralaba North deposit while taking time to properly assess any development opportunities, including Baralaba South.

Our goal is to minimise and manage any impacts on the environment, and upon completion of our activities, return the land to a sustainable use.
